We have implemented a new way of keeping our residents informed of events and meetings that are occuring in the town. Whenever a new event or document is posted to the Web site you have an opportunity to receive a copy of that posting in your personal EMail box, automatically. It won't be necessary to visit the Web site, although we encourage you to do so, since not all folders will be subscribable. And if you decide that you no longer want to receive notices automatically, you can use the following form to remove your name from the list.
The Town of Holden has created several email distribution lists to inform residents of a variety of Town related information and activities. See below for details on each list and subscribe (or unsubscribe) to any number of them.
Notices
Recommended for all Holden Residents.
Receive timely news and announcements from Town Hall. Official Notices include public health and public works alerts, election information, office closings, trash & recycling alerts, and other special Town related events. 1-10 emails per week.
Recommended for those that are interested in notification of new Board of Selectmen minutes. Average 2 emails per month.
Recommended for those interested in employment with the Town of Holden.
Sent when new jobs availability status changes.
Recommended for those looking for advisories or timely advice from the Holden Police Department.
1-5 email alerts per month.
Recommended for those interested in Council on Aging and Senior Center news, activities, and programs. This will be used for notifying those interested in new (as opposed to ongoing) program announcements, clinics, and general news for seniors in Holden; as well as to announce the release of our online newsletter, and for other purposes.
This is new, but we are aiming for roughly 10-15 emails per week.
How to Subscribe:
For example, to properly subscribe to News & Announcements you are required to supply the following information:
• Select an action: Add My Name or Remove My Name
• Select from the Mail Lists: e.g. News & Announcements
If your EMail address is correct then the Subscriber will respond to your request promptly and you will receive an EMail confirmation in your incoming mailbox. In order to protect your privacy, you MUST reply to this email in order to receive postings from the list. This is a receive-only list and you may remove your name from it at any time by using this form.
