HOME OWNERSHIP
When selling a piece of property in Holden, it is the seller’s responsibility to notify the Holden Municipal Light Department of the closing date and the new owner’s name 48 hours before closing. A final reading will be done the last business day before the closing. A final bill will be generated. The seller will then pay the final bill and a certificate of lien will be issued.
We will be able to close out your electric and water, sewer and/or trash services, if applicable.
RENTAL PROPERTY
When moving from a rental property, it is the responsibility of the renter to notify the Holden Municipal Light Department when they are vacating the property and to supply us with a forwarding address. We will do a final reading upon notification and generate a final bill. Your security deposit will be applied to your final bill. If a credit remains on the account a refund will be issued and sent to your forwarding address.
