The Town of Holden's Memorial Day Parade will start at 11 a.m., Monday, May 28 on Main Street, near the Senior Center, 1130 Main Street. The parade will proceed down Main Street, followed by prayers and salutes at the Park Avenue, St. Mary's, Grove, and Main Street cemeteries. A final prayer and salute will be given at the Veteran's Memorial.
Participants include the Spirit of America Fife & Drum; John E. Harkins American Legion Post 42; Holden veterans; Montachusett Marine JROTC; Holden Scouts; 25th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry; and the Kids in the Kommunity.
This year's parade is dedicated to Lieutenant Commander Jane (Ong) Hughes, RN.
Motorists can expect traffic delays in Holden center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
