The Holden Fire Department is Always Looking for On-Call Firefighters
Interested in becoming an On-Call Firefighter? The Holden Fire Department is always looking for new personnel to become On-Call members. The basic requirements are that you must be a high school graduate, successfully pass a medical examination, pass a physical abilities test, and a desire to be on-call for emergencies in town.

State law requires that new hires be non-smokers. It is preferred that you live within a reasonable distance to Headquarters and Chaffins Station. If hired, the requirements are department training,  maintain a level of first aid training, CPR, and hazardous material awareness. Training will be provided by the department.

Firefighting is a dangerous, yet truly rewarding profession. If you are interested and are qualified to offer your time for training and be on-call, complete an employment application. Applications are available at the Town Manager's office located in Town Hall (1204 Main Street), also at Holden Fire Headquarters. After completion, return the application to the Town Manager's Office. The Fire Department will contact you for an interview when the next training group of new On-Call Firefighters are scheduled. Training groups are scheduled based on the number of new Firefighters needed.
