Parking is limited in the City Hall Garage but parking is available at some meters along Franklin Street or the Public Library Parking Lot on Salem Street.

The Veterans' Service Department is under the direction of Chapter 115 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Local Veterans' Agents direct the Veterans’ benefits program, which is a joint program with the Commonwealth and their city or town, to deliver the Veterans’ benefits due qualified Veterans’ and their dependents. The office also assists and advises Veterans’ and their dependents with questions and applications concerning federal benefits and obtaining a copy of their discharge papers (DD214).
Karen R. Greenwood was hired as the part-time Veterans Agent for the Town of Holden in January 2004. She is a Veteran herself, and works as the Veterans’ Agent for the City of Worcester. Agent Greenwood brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her assignment in Holden. The central office is located at 25 Meade Street in Worcester.
As of August 1, 2009 hours of operation for the Veterans Agent will change. They will be by appointment only during the day at the central office of Veterans’ Services located at 25 Meade Street, Worcester or evenings at the Starbard Building, 1204 Main Street, Holden by calling 508-799-1041.
