TOWN OF HOLDEN/CASELLA RESIDENTIAL TRASH & SINGLE STREAM
RECYCLING PROGRAM FOR 2008
2008 STICKERS:
· Enclosed is the yellow 2008 sticker for your BLUE trash container.
· Please put the sticker on the front and below the lid of the blue trash toter as soon as possible.
· Be sure toter is dry and free of dirt in order for the sticker to adhere properly.
· Beginning Monday March 17, 2008 any BLUE toter without the yellow 2008 sticker will not be
emptied by Casella.
RECYCLING:
· Thank you for your efforts in recycling, and let’s try to do even more.
· Use your green toter for all recyclable material.
· Extra recycling materials may be put out in any open container next to your recycling bin.
· At the Town Hall we have free large green labels marked “RECYCLABLES” should you want to
label your extra containers.
BULK ITEMS:
· Burnable bulk item stickers are available at the Town Hall for a cost of $25.00 per sticker.
· Purchase the sticker then call Casella at 888.532.2735 to schedule a collection date.
· Non-burnable/white goods pick-ups must be paid directly to Casella.
· Bulk item collections are scheduled for every other Thursday.
OVERFLOW BLUE BAGS:
· Any extra trash that does not fit into the BLUE toter (with the lid closed) must be put in Town of
Holden blue overflow trash bags.
· Overflow bags may be purchased at the following locations: Big Y, Holden Mobil, Rite Aide,
Honey Farms, Jeds Hardware, Holden Municipal Light Dept., and the Town Hall.
· The blue overflow bags are sold in sleeves of 5 for $5.00.
Holidays delayed one day: New Years Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Memorial Day, and Christmas |
Due to inclement weather, trash may be delayed a day, therefore, if your trash is not picked up, please put it out the following day.
Reminder: Toters must be out at the curb by 7:00 A.M.
