1. Public Safety Day Once again, the Holden Police and Fire Departments will be sponsoring the annual Public Safety Day on Sunday, October 1, 2006 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. There will be fingerprinting and child ID, K-9 Demonstrations, law enforcement and fire department displays, child car seat installation and more. Refreshments will be provided.

2. Wachusett Greenways Family Fun Day Wachusett Greenways will be holding a Family Fun Day on Saturday, September 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Oakdale entrance to the Central Mass Rail Trail. All are invited for the festivities which include music, food, and bike parade.

3. Fall Brush and Composting Schedule The Department of Public Works has determined the following schedule for the Fall Composting and Brush Chipping Program:

The Composting Facility is located at the site of the former Landfill; this program is for Holden Residents only.

4. Holden Tomorrow Holden Tomorrow invites residents to the first Community Visioning Meeting on October 3, 2006 at the Senior Center starting at 7:00 p.m. Help shape Holdens future by attending.
