NOTE:   Because of the Special Election on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, the public hearing on the Charter Cable TV License Renewal will be scheduled for 8:00 p.m., after the polls close.


1.      Christmas Tree Chipping – The second and last day for Christmas Tree chipping will be held at the Adams Road DPW Facility on Saturday, January 16, 2010, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Adams Road DPW parking lot will be the ONLY location used for Christmas Tree chipping this year.  The program is open to Holden residents only.

2.      H1N1 Flu Clinic – February 3, 2010 – The Holden Board of Health will hold a free H1N1 Flu Clinic for Holden Residents on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Holden Senior Center.  The clinic is open to all Holden residents older than 6 months of age, including persons over the age of 64 years (provided there are no contradictions).  There is a limited number of doses so the clinic will be held on a first-come first-served basis.

Also, there will be a Seasonal Flu Clinic the following week, Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Senior Center from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.   This clinic will also be open to all Holden residents and will be offered on the first-come, first-served basis.   Please see the Town web site for more information:  www.townofholden.net.

3.      Holden Light Department PCA Adjustment – According to the enclosed memorandum from Jim Robinson, Assistant Light Manager, there will be a quarterly adjustment in the Department’s Power Cost Adjustment factor effective January 1, 2010 as follows:

4.      Handling and Disposal of Scrap Metal – Enclosed is a memorandum from James Shuris, Director of Public Works, with an official procedure for the proper handling and disposal of scrap metal materials and property encountered during the performance of all DPW operations.
