ALB Update – Enclosed is an updated Asian Longhorn Beetle Supression Area (Holden) that includes the streets located within the Area.

Continuing Disclosure Certificate – Enclosed is a correspondence from James J. Dunbar, Treasurer of the Wachusett Regional School District. According to Treasurer Dunbar, the District recently borrowed a third bond for the high school construction/ renovation project in the amount of $6,100,000. This General Obligation School Bond is in addition to two previous borrowings in the total amount of $23,758,000. District Bond Counsel Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge has requested that Continuing Disclosure Certificates be executed by each Member Town, signed by the Town Treasurer and a majority of the Board of Selectmen. A copy of the Disclosure Certificate is attached. Jean Berg, Treasurer/Collector has already signed the Disclosure Certificate and advises that the Selectmen apply their signatures as
well. This is a housekeeping matter that will facilitate the District’s latest borrowing (bond counsel for prior District borrowings did not request this document). For the town, it is a document that is routinely issued and does not require a vote by the Selectmen.

Town v. Chamber Softball – We had a great time last Monday, September 8, 2008, when the Townees faced off against the Chamber of Commerce in softball. The Chamber won and has kept the trophy – until next year! We would like to commend all our employees who either played as a team member or helped in organizing the event with specific call-outs to Rosemary Johnson for organizing, Rich DeWitt our General Manager, and Dave White, Umpire. Thanks also to those who came to watch. It was a very pleasant evening enjoyed by all.
