Christmas Tree Chipping - Once again, our Department of Public Works will offer chipping services for Christmas Trees. According to Rich DeWitt, DPW Superintendent, the Adams Road DPW parking lot will be the only location for chipping this year. Holden residents may bring their trees to the Adams Road parking lot on two Saturdays between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.:

MMA Annual Meeting and Trade Show - This is a reminder that the MMA Annual Meeting and Trade Show will take place on January 11th - 13th 2007 at the Hines Convention Center/ Sheraton complex in Boston. Community Policing Grant - Chief Sherrill has announced that the Holden Police Department is the recipient of a FY2007 Community Policing Grant in the amount of $18,024. These funds are used by the Department to continue programs that address community needs, specifically, crime, fear of crime, and the issues that detract from overall quality of life.

Traffic Enforcement Grant - The Holden PD has been awarded a Traffic Enforcement Grant for their participation in the Governor’s Highway Safety Bureau (GHSB) campaign for fiscal year 2006-2007.
