Question's regarding: Pool, Summer programs for 2012
When does the pool open? The pool opens weekends only, weather permitting, starting the first Saturday in June from noon to 5:00 pm. The pool opens for the season when school dismisses for the summer vacation. You will need to show your recreation passes and proper identification each time you use the pool.
When is the Summer brochure available? The last week of April.
How can I get a brochure? You can download the most current brochure from our website. Summer Brochures are distributed to the children who attend the following schools: Mayo, Davis Hill and Dawson. Other locations: Recreation Office, Gale Free Library and Town Manager's Office.
Where and when can a resident purchase a Recreation Pass? Recreation Passes can be purchased on-line beginning April 2, and payment will be made with a credit card. You will need to come to the office with your printed receipt and proof of Holden residency to pick up your passes. If you prefer, you can purchase passes in the office (cash or check) Mon - Fri from 9:00am to 3:30pm, beginning April 2 ~ proof of Holden residency is required.
What is the cost for a resident season Pass? Holden resident : $28.00/person; Holden family pass (4 or more people in the same immediate family, must be year round residents) $93.00; Senior (age 65 or older): $18.00. Children younger than 12 months do not need a pass, unless they participate in a class. Season pass holders will be required to show a valid picture ID with their season pass in order to gain entry to the pools.
Can a Non-Resident visit the pool? A limited number of non-resident season passes (400) will be available beginning April 2. The cost is $78.00 per person. Non- resident passes must be purchased at the Holden Recreation office ~ cash or money order ONLY. Non-resident children under 12 months of age will need a pass. Season pass holders will be required to show a valid picture ID with their season pass in order to gain entry to the pools. Non-residents can pay a daily rate of $10.00 per person to use the pool if they do not have
passes.
Can our Babysitter / Nanny use one of our Family Adult Passes? No. Passes are non-transferable. Your babysitter / nanny will need a pass of their own (a Holden pass if they are a resident or a Non-Resident pass) or they must pay the daily rate to go to the pool.
Do I need a Recreation Pass to participate in a program? Everyone who participates in a summer program is required to have a Recreation Pass. Passes need to be purchased BEFORE you can register for a program.

If you're purchasing your passes on-line, please be sure to do so before trying to sign up for any activities. If you plan on purchasing your passes at the office, you will need to do so no later than Wednesday, May 9th, so that we wll be sure to have them recorded for you by registration day.
When can Non-residents register for summer programs? Registration will begin Sunday, May 13 at 9:00am. and is on-line only.

You must set up this account no later than Wednesday, May 9th, so that we wll be sure to have your passes recorded by registration day.
When can I reserve the pool for a splash party? Reservations can be made after the pool officially opens for the season. A Recreation Pass is required. Reservations are made at the pool office.
Question's regarding: Before and After School Programs 2011-2012
How can I register my child for the Before and After School Programs?
Registration is only available ON-LINE. If you have not already set up your household account on the new Recreation website, visit the link to MyRec.com and set up your account. All family members MUST be included.
When can I register my child for the Before and After School Programs?
On-line registration begins Monday August 1, 2011 at 9:00 a.m.
What needs to be done to ensure my child's enrollment in the Before and After School Programs?
1. Register on-line, making sure registration fee and first week's payment will be made. Payment can be made on-line with a credit card, or a check or cash can be brought to the Recreation office.
2. Children that were not enrolled in either the Before/After or All Day Summer Program during 2010 - 2011 must print the 6 required forms and bring them to the Recreation office by Tuesday, August 23.
3. Children that were enrolled need parents to initial and date all forms, if you did not do so at the end of the school year.
