Our library director, Jane Dutton, loved to read and to talk about books even as a child. Here she is leading her first book group . . . .
In September 1999 Jane started a monthly book discussion group, The Book Circle, here at the library. Its popularity has continued strong and now the Book Circle is celebrating its eleventh season.
Because patrons know that Jane has such a good eye for fiction, they often ask her for suggestions. That's how Jane's Picks was born. Every quarter Jane gives us a fresh list of new books that she's read and recommends. The list contains mostly fiction and occasionally has mystery and memoir, too.
Here are a few titles from her current list of favorites to whet your appetite:
