Holden's "Green Team" was formed in November 2007 to show our commitment to the environment through conservation and efficiency. The goal of this team is to promote ideas and provide information to help residents, businesses, and employees in Holden to "think green". We hope to lead by example by trying to encourage conservation starting with the town offices.
Going green can often not only have little cost, it can actually SAVE money while doing something good at the same time.
We will focus on some of the basics first, and provide links to already-existing information, whether that be our own programs, or outside sources. Holden already is and has been "green" for quite a while, and this group would like to start by gathering all of this information together in one place.
Looking forward, we will come up with recommendations for town offices to encourage measures to allow them to operate more efficiently.
