When you are purchasing a piece of property in Holden, it is the responsibility of the seller
to notify the Holden Municipal Light Department of the closing date. A 48 hour notice is
required. As a Municipal Department, a release of lien is required to be generated. After
the final bill is paid, a certificate is issued proving there are no monies owed on the property.
The seller will supply us with the name of the new owner and services will be transferred
on the day of the reading with no interruption of service. If you are renting a piece of
property, you must contact the Holden Municipal Light Department at (508)210-5400.
All renters are required to pay a deposit on their new account. A new account cannot be
established until the deposit is paid.
You must be the seller, Real Estate Agent, or legal representative of the seller in order to make a request for a Final Meter Reading.
