The mission of the Economic Development Commission (EDC) is to coordinate and promote industrial and commercial projects. The commission serves as a point of contact for entrepreneurs and land owners seeking to maintain and develop businesses in Holden.
The EDC works with the Overall Economic Development Program administered by the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission and the Worcester Office of Planning and Community Development. The EDC supports methods of streamlining the review and permit process.
The EDC supports the development of the Jefferson Mill, provides support for the Underground Utilities Project on Main Street, and serves as a focal point for business concerns relative to the reconstruction of Main Street.
