Presidential Primary Information
Absentee ballots are available to voters who will be absent from town or confined to home on the day of the Presidential Primary - February 5.  All requests for absentee ballots must be in writing and received in the Town Clerk's Office no later than 12 noon on Monday, February 4.  Voters may choose to have the ballots mailed to them or vote at the Town Clerk's Office.  On February 5, the polls will be open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.

A primary is a party election.  To participate in this primary election, a person must be an enrolled voter in any of the four parties: Democrat, Republican, Green-Rainbow or Working Families or an unenrolled (independent) voter.  An unenrolled (independent) voter must declare a party on the day of the election, and will automatically revert back to the unenrolled (independent) status upon casting the ballot.
