TOWN OF HOLDEN
SEWER CONNECTION FEE SCHEDULE
Adopted November 20, 1972
I POLICY
1. Properties previously assessed for sewer betterments shall not be charged a sewer entrance fee.
II SUBDIVISION
1. Fee:
(a) Lots in approved subdivisions shall be charged a sewer connection fee of $ .095 per square foot. Area to be charged shall be calculated by the following formula: Frontage measurement x depth of 100 ft. (minimum chargeable area of 10,000 sq. ft.) The Town Engineer shall determine the chargeable areas based on the subdivision plans approved by the Planning Board.
(b) The addition of a $1.00 surcharge per average daily gallon of requested use. Said surcharge to be in addition to the base connection fee/assessment as stated in the Town’s Sewer Rules and Regulations.
(c) Payment of fees shall be made at the time of application for the sewer entrance permit.
2. Credits:
(a) Credit for installation of interceptor, forced mains, and trunk sewers, computed on the basis of the unit costs of the most recent Town sewer contract, shall be allowed against installation fees.
(b) Contractors desiring credit for construction activities undertaken in conjunction with the installation of sewers are required to submit an itemized list of all work accomplished in the installation of interceptor or trunk line sewers and appurtenant work in the subdivision in question to the Town Engineer. The Town Engineer shall forward credit calculations to the Town Manager for approval.
III NON-SUBDIVISION
1. Fee:
(a) Lots for which an application for a sewer entrance permit has been made shall be charged a sewer connection fee of $.095 per square foot. Area to be charged shall be calculated by the following formula: Frontage measurement x depth of 100 feet (minimum chargeable area of 10,000 sq. ft.). The Town Engineer shall determine the chargeable area based on a plot plan of the property in question to be submitted by the applicant.
(b) The addition of a $1.00 surcharge per average daily gallon of requested use. Said surcharge to be in addition to the base connection fee/assessment as stated in the Town’s Sewer Rules and Regulations.
(c) Payment of fees shall be made at the time of application for the sewer entrance permit.
2. Credits/Waivers:
(a) The Board of Selectmen may issue a waiver of the connection fee for those persons seeking connection of a non-subdivision sanitary sewer. The waiver of this fee shall only occur in those cases where the applicant can demonstrate that he/she incurred the expense of installing the sewer line for which connection is sought.
