BOARD OF HEALTH TITLE 5
The Holden Board of Health regulations for septic systems is based soley on 310 CMR 15.000: THE STATE ENVIRONMENTAL CODE, TITLE 5: STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SITING, CONSTRUCTION, INSPECTION, UPGRADE AND EXPANSION OF ON-SITE SEWAGE TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL SYSTEMS AND FOR THE TRANSPORT AND DISPOSAL OF SEPTAGE, along with the revised Title 5 regs including but not limited to:
1) magnetic tape needed on all system components
2) inspection ports are required
3) risers over d-box and septic tank if finished grade greater than 9"
Holden Board of Health has modified the percolation testing to December 15th - May 15th for new construction.
